Hochoy adapts his popular piece for three internationally recognized ballet stars
Bring together three internationally recognized ballet stars and one very popular choreographer and the atmosphere is sure to be electric.
That was certainly the case at the School of American Ballet Theatre in New York City this week as choreographer and artistic director of Dance Kaleidoscope, David Hochoy, adapted and set his” Fascinatin’ Rhythm” on three guest artists for ICB’s September 12 gala “An Evening with the Stars”.
The work will feature three major dance stars including Sarah Lane, a brilliant soloist with American Ballet Theatre who is now en route to Italy for a 4 week, 17 city tour; Joaquin De Luz, a New York City Ballet Principal Dancer who, though recovering from injury, will return to performances in August in Mallorca, Spain; and Tiler Peck, a fast-rising young soloist with NYC Ballet who had just hours earlier returned from dancing the lead in Coppelia with New York City Ballet in Saratoga, NY and looks forward to an extended performance schedule in the Vail International Dance Festival that opens next week in Colorado.

The two-day intensive rehearsal was exhausting, fun, and very rewarding for David and the dancers who look forward to performing it at the gala.
ICB is also proud of these other distinguished guest artists for the September 12 gala that include but are not limited to:
Alicia Amatriain – Principal Dancer of the Stuttgart Ballet, who is now considered one of “the most exciting and important dancers in Europe”
David Hallberg – Principal Dancer, American Ballet Theatre, considered to be one of the biggest new American stars in ballet.
Julie Kent – Principal Dancer, one of the last ballerinas chosen by Mikhail Baryshnikov for American Ballet Theatre and an international star for many years, She is perhaps most widely recognized for featured roles in two major popular films – Dancers and Center Stage.
Denis Matvienko – Principal Dancer with the Kirov Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia, coming from the prestigious Mariinsky Theatre, and his wife, Anastasia Matvienko – also a Principal Dancer with the Kirov Ballet,
