Miguel was born in Jamaica Queens, New York and grew up in Miami, Florida. At the age of seven, he began his dance studies at the Miami Conservatory under Ruth Weisen. He further studied at the Dance Theatre of Harlem and with Barbara Delgado at the Joe Michaels Dance Studio. Miguel attended the New World School of the Arts High School and graduated with a focus in Visual Arts. Throughout his training, he has worked with choreographers such as Michael Uhtoff, Jennifer Muller, Donald McKayle, and has performed works by Robert Battle, Jose Limon, Peter London, and Freddick Bratcher. Miguel joined the Company in July 2005 after receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from New World College in May, 2005.
